Annamaria Butterworth, Soprano – Australia

Annamaria ButterworthAnnamaria studied singing at The Victorian College of the Arts, Masterclasses at the Australian Academy of Music and at the University of Melbourne she completed her Masters of Music Studies. She was finalist in several Opera Foundation Australia competitions; The Metropolitan Opera Study Scholarship, the National Opera Studio Scholarship, a recipient of the Lady Galleghan Encouragement Award and winner of the Herald Sun Aria Competition. Annamaria has appeared with the Opera Australia (Tosca, The Marriage of Figaro, Don Giovanni) and in studio excerpts as Countess- The Marriage of Figaro and as Sandmanchen – Hansel and Gretel. Future Engagements include a recital at St. Martin-in-the-fields. Annamaria currently studies with Soprano Lillian Watson and is a Concordia Foundation Artist for 2008
