Concordia Performance Ensembles

Along with providing exciting platforms for solo artists, The Concordia Foundation provides opportunities to young artists to collaborate and develop together. Concordia’s ensembles include:

THE CONCORDIA INTERNATIONAL ENSEMBLE

The Concordia International Ensemble is a selection of Concordia’s most advanced artists that have accompanied Concordia on it’s overseas programmes. The current CIE includes:

Gareth McLearnon and Abigail Burrows - Flute

Tanya Cooling and Norah King - Soprano

James Cleverton – Baritone

Christopher Steele – Tenor

Satoko Fukuda and Irmina Trynkos- Violin

Benjamin Ellin (composer) and Jeremy Silver – Conductor

THE LATIN QUARTER

The Latin Quarter has been featured at many Concordia events including Concordia’s 15th Anniversary Gala at the Queen Elizabeth Hall in 2010.

The Ensemble includes:

THE CONCORDIA CELLO ENSEMBLE

The Concordia Cello Ensemble of 10 cellists was formed in 2011 for the 25th Anniversary Celebration of Beazley. The Ensemble also presented a programme to a packed out audience at the National Portrait Gallery in December 2011. It’s core members are:

Angelique Lihou, Li Lu, Hermione Jones, Stephanie Oade, Jun Sasaki, Daniel Brown, Bulat Tynybekov, Zosia Jagodzinska and Peteris Sokolovskis.
