Ahmed studied at the Superior Institute of Art (Havana) and the Royal College of Music. Graduating in classical and contemporary music, he specialises in playing Cuban and Latin American guitar repertoire.

In recent years, he has performed at the Dublin Guitar Week and Hispano American Guitar Festival of Tijuana, Mexico. In UK he has been performing for Yehudi Menuhin’s Live Music Now Scheme and more recently for Concordia Foundation, and in the Wigmore Hall for workshops with children with violinist Lizzie Ball. Ahmed has given concerts at the ICA, the Bolivar Hall, the V & A Museum, St. George’s Bloomsbury, St James’s Church Piccadilly, Southwark Cathedral and the National Portrait Gallery, and more recently, Wigmore Hall and for the UK Foreign Press Association.

He has been awarded the Ivor Mairant, Issac Nicola, Musicalia and Amadeo Roldan prizes for his guitar playing. Ahmed is currently studying at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
