Anna was born in Dublin and began studying at the Yehudi Menuhin School age twelve before learning from Itzhak Rashkovsky at the RCM. During her studies at the Royal College of Music Anna was awarded the Tagore Gold Medal, The String Player of the Year 2006 and the Mills William Junior Fellowship.
Anna won the Raymond Fox Award from the UK’s Making Music Federation and was presented with the award at London’s Wigmore Hall. After performing as part of the Concordia Foundation’s concert series several times Anna was awarded the Serena Nevill prize. With the Foundation she performed in many prestigious London venues. She has also given recitals in Switzerland, Belgium, France Spain, Germany, Canada, Scotland, Wales, and Ireland.
Anna has performed with Camerata Ireland conducted by Barry Douglas. She has also appeared as soloist with the A40 orchestra, Dorset Philharmonic, London Amistad Orchestra, The New Professionals and the Hibernian Chamber Orchestra.
Anna loves playing chamber music particularly with her brother Ben and sister Sophie in the Cashell piano trio. They have performed in venues such as St. Martins in the Fields and St. James’ Piccadilly London as well as at many festivals in Ireland. They were described in the Strad magazine:

In September 2007 Anna was appointed Violin Professor at Royal Holloway University, London. As a freelance musician Anna has performed regularly with the Irish Chamber Orchestra and Camerata Ireland.
Anna plays on a violin made by George Chanot on loan from Heineken Ireland; her bow was made earlier this year by Noel Burke.
