Caroline Tyler started piano aged 5 giving her first public performance aged nine. She studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama graduating in 2005, adding a Masters with distinction in 2007.
During her studies, Caroline made her concerto debut playing Beethoven’s Piano Concerto no. 1. She won the intercollegiate Sir Anthony Lewis Memorial Prize 2006, the national Christopher Duke Piano Recital Competition 2007 and the international Anglo-Czechoslovak Trust Competition 2007. Caroline also won the top prize of £3,000 in the Norah Sande Piano Award competition, held in Eastbourne in July, leading to further concert engagements and a small feature in Classical Music magazine.
She has performed as soloist and ensemble member at various venues in the UK and abroad, including the Barbican Hall in London, the Victoria Rooms in Bristol and the Martinu Concert Hall in Prague.
