Jane Ng, violin – Malaysia

The performing career of Jane Ng began when she gave concerts on the piano and violin at the age of 7 and 10, in her home country, Malaysia. She was awarded a 4-year International Full Scholarship in 2000 from the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music, from which she graduated with First Class Honours and subsequently, a further Full Scholarship from the Royal College of Music for the Masters Degree. In 2007, Jane graduated with the prestigious RCM Artist Diploma in Performance under Yossi Zivoni.

Jane performs regularly as a recitalist across the UK and Europe, most notably in Paris, Scotland, the Leeds International Concert Series, The Pump Rooms in Bath, University of Essex, Steinway Hall, St James’ Piccadilly, St Martin-in-the-Fields, St John’s Smith Square, ABRSM Golden Jubilee Scholars’ Concert, Benslow Music Trust, ‘’Live Music Now’’ at The Caledonian Club, and at the Malaysian High Commission. As concerto soloist, Jane won the Hastings and Hatfield Music Festival, and subsequently performed Sibelius Violin Concerto with the Hatfield Philharmonic Orchestra in 2004. More recently she appeared as soloist with the Hertfordshire Youth County Orchestra.

Jane is also an accomplished pianist, composer, and orchestrator, performing in international festivals in Singapore, Japan, Hong Kong, Czech Republic, Spain, and Hungary. As a pianist, she won 2nd prize at the “Virtuosi per Musica di Pianoforte” International Piano Competition in the Czech Republic. Forthcoming concerts include a World Premiere performance of her own composition ‘’The Pagoda of Dreams – Fantasia for Violin & Orchestra, where Jane will be performing as soloist with the Wandsworth Symphony Orchestra in June 2009.
