Sara Wolstenholme has played as soloist with Halle, RLPO, and Chetham’s Symphony Orchestra. She was Liverpool Young Musician and received the Gerald MacDonald Candide Award from the Shell LSO Competition. Whilst at RNCM Sara won the Schubert and Nossek Prizes for chamber music, Eleanor Warren Salon Prize, Norman George Violin Competition, and was a Concerto Competition Finalist. As a chamber musician she has performed in the RNCM’s Quartetfests, Lichfield Festival, Apeldoorn International Summer Festival and has collaborated with artists at IMS Prussia Cove Open Chamber Music. She has taken part in courses including Schleswig-Holstein; Aspen, USA; Holland Music Sessions, the Quartet Academy at Britten-Pears and the Tunnell Trust in Blair Athol. Sara graduated from RNCM with First Class and a Masters with Distinction studying with Maciej Rakowski, formerly at Chetham’s with Thomas Kemp. She studies with Jan Repko at RCM and Shmuel Ashkenasi, gratefully supported by The Countess of Munster Musical Trust, The Worshipful Company of Drapers and South Square Trust. She is looking forward to studying with Gunter Pichler of the Alban Berg Quartet from September with the Finzi Quartet.

'Sophisticated Ladies' at the National Portrait Gallery performed to a packed-out audience on Friday 9th December. Newly formed this year, an ensemble of 10 of Concordia's most accomplished cellists and Concordia Prize-winner Anna Patalong soprano.The Concordia Candlelit Christmas Concert Saturday 17th December at St Paul's Church Covent Garden at 7.30pm was completely SOLD OUT and a fantastic end to a very challenging and inspiring year. Performaners included Concordia International Ensemble Artists, talented young musicians and VOCES8.
