“We are very much looking forward to this exciting concert in the Benjamin Franklin House. We will start the evening with a piece from Benjamin Franklin’s time: Glück’s masterpiece The Dance of the Blessed Spirits, from his most famous opera Orphée and Eurydice. After this we will bring a variety of styles, including works by French composers Bizet, Chopin and Saint-Saëns and Italian composers Donizetti and Boccherini. Italian composer and cellist Luigi Boccherini lived in the same century as Benjamin Franklin. In this recital we aim to reflect Benjamin’s creative way of thinking in our music choice and interpretation.”
