Simona Mihai
Romania (soprano)


Born in Bucharest, Romania, Simona currently studies at the Royal College of Music’s Benjamin Britten International Opera School. Aged just 24, she is gathering great momentum as a talent not to be missed. Roles include Celia, in Mozart’s Lucio Silla, for The European Opera Centre under the auspices of the Royal Opera House; La Ciesca in Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi and Cis in Britten’s Albert Hering both for BBIOS. Scenes from Mozart, Despina, Cosi fan Tutti, Sussana, The Marriage of Figaro, Pamina and Papagena, Die Zauberflote, and Constanze in Die Entfuhrung. Most recently Simona played The Governess in The Turn of the Screw also for BBIOS.
