Morgan Szymanski
Mexico (classical guitar)

From Mexico City, Morgan moved to Scotland where he studied at the City of Edinburgh Music School. He later studied at the Conservatorium Van Amsterdam and the RCM where, having won every prize for the guitar, he graduated in 2002. Concert appearances in the UK have included recitals at Kensington Palace, the Purcell room, the Royal Opera House and the Queens Hall, Edinburgh. He has given recitals at the Bach Zaal and Beurs Van Berlage in Amsterdam the Palacio Nacional de Bellas Artes in Mexico, Edinburgh Festival and in Barcelona Cathedral as well as guitar festivals in New Orleans, Amsterdam and Mexico. He has appeared in concerto performances with the City of Edinburgh Youth Orchestra, European Union Youth Orchestra as well as the Rodrigo Concerto at the RCM. An active member of Live Music Now and resident guitarist for the Henri Oguike Dance Co., he frequently plays for Mexican Embassies in UK and Holland and has performed before the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester and Princess Michael of Kent.

Morgan was selected as a YCAT artist for 2004.
