Raising money for others
Snapshot view: Concordia Foundation performances have raised money for: a Concordia Ward in a Macmillan Cancer Relief hospice in Wales; Save the Children Fund in Argentina; the Salaj District Hospital, Romania; the Christian Praise Children's Home, Philippines; Dr Barnados in Australia; and many others.

Three Christmas Orchestral Gala Concerts were held at St Nicholas Church in Chiswick, London (1990, 1991, broadcast on BBC, and 1992) followed by charity fund-raising dinners at Concordia's studio, raising funds for a much needed cancer hospice in South Wales. The hospice, 'Y Bwthyn', in Pontypridd was opened by the HRH The Princess of Wales in 1992.

In April 1999 the Concordia International Ensemble presented a concert at St. John's, Smith Square celebrating the healing power of music. This joint fund-raising event with Macmillan Cancer Relief was sponsored by Rentokil Initial and gave a platform to 100 young artists - orchestral musicans, conductors, instrumental soloists and singers.

Every Concordia Foundation performance is a success so it is hard to highlight individual events or activities. But some stand out in the memories of those who took part or were in the audience, including:
