BBC Introducing Classical Artist" Jamal Aliyev is rapidly becoming one of the most sought after cellists of his generation. His debut album with Anna Fedorova, Russian Masters was released in March 2017 on Champs Hill Records. Jamal will also record with Classic FM and Warner Classics next season for which the esteemed composer Sir Karl Jenkins will write a piece especially for him.

Jamal Aliyev gave his solo debut performance at the BBC Proms, Royal Albert Hall, London in 2017 where he performed with Keith Lockhart conducting the BBC Concert Orchestra. Same year, he gave his solo debut appearance at the Royal Festival Hall in London under the baton of Sir Karl Jenkins and the Philharmonia.
Aliyev appeared on one of the world’s most influential classical music stations ‘BBC Radio 3’ regularly since 2012 when he was first invited to perform on Sean Rafferty's programme "In Tune” following his "BBC Radio 3 live broadcast" solo debut with BBC Concert Orchestra at the Menuhin Hall in London. Aliyev frequently performs live on on both television and radio. Appearances include Medici TV, London Live TV, Moscow 24 TV, Romania TV and Classic FM.

Jamal Aliyev has performed in various prestigious festivals including the Menuhin Festival in Switzerland, Kronberg Festival in Germany and Enescu Festival in Romania. Additionally, he has been the First Prize winner of many international competitions including; Trakya International Competition (2002), V. Antonio Janigro International Competition (2004), Muriel Taylor Cello Competition (2014), Croydon Concerto Competition (2015), Bromsgrove International Competition (2015), Eastbourne Concerto Competition (2016), Arts Club - Sir Karl Jenkins Music competition (2017), Musicians Company Prince’s Prize (2017).


Jamal Aliyev enjoys performing as a solo artist as well as a chamber musician and has toured throughout Europe and Asia. His recent performances include prestigious venues such as: The Wigmore Hall (London), Royal Albert Hall (London) Royal Festival Hall (London), The Atheneum (Bucharest), Forbidden City Concert Hall (Beijing), Reims Cathedral (France), The Arts Parliament House (Singapore), The Presidential Concert Hall (Turkey), Istrian Assembly Hall (Croatia), The Saanen Church (Menuhin Festival) in Gstaad - Switzerland, Rachmaninov Concert Hall (Moscow), to name a few.
As well as his appearance with BBC Concert Orchestra, Aliyev has collaborated as a soloist with orchestras such as; Presidential Symphony and Bilkent Symphony Orchestras of Turkey, Guildford Symphony, Epsom Symphony, The Sampson Orchestra of Cambridge, Croydon Symphony, RCM Classical, RCM Philharmonic, Yehudi Menuhin School Orchestra, Kennemer Jeugd Orkest, Orpheus Sinfonia, LGSO, Whitehall Orchestra, Eskisehir Symphony, Kingston Chamber Orchestra and many others.
