Dear Friends,
From everyone here at Concordia Foundation, we do hope that you are staying well and safe during these challenging times.

You should have received the link to the anniversary Newsletter celebrating 25 thrilling and momentous years at Concordia Foundation. We hope that you enjoyed reading it as much as we did producing it! We have had some wonderful feedback which has been so heart-warming to read.

Concordia Foundation closed on 31st March 2021. Naturally, we are all very sad to bring an end to our inspiring projects, concerts and events but now is the right time for us to close the charity.

As mentioned in the Newsletter, we have identified three very special Concordia Ambassadors and their well-established organisations to continue our work in the same spirit, as part of our Legacy. After extensive research and consultations, it has been agreed that any money remaining in the Concordia Foundation account will support the following:

  • John Savournin and Young Audiences Educational Programmes
so that schools can continue to participate in exciting, relevant and curriculum-based workshops and performances.

  • John Wilson and Sinfonia of London
enabling highly gifted young musicians to join the orchestra and to work alongside professional instrumentalists.

  • Alasdair Tait and YCAT
to continue to support the development of emerging musicians worldwide. Gillian has been invited to take on the role of Honorary Patron to the YCAT Donors.

We had been looking forward to celebrating with you at our Anniversary Concert in March but, in the current circumstances with COVID-19, this is sadly no longer possible. However, please do refer to our website over the year for updates on various exciting events that will be hosted by our Legacy recipients – we so look forward to you joining us there!

Also on our website, you will find a very special Message Wall that has been set up for our dear Concordia Friends and Artists to leave comments and memories from our inspiring 25-year musical journey together.
After March 2021, you can also keep in touch with Gillian directly - please get in touch to receive her direct email address.

Please be assured that you will always be in our hearts and minds and we thank you most sincerely for your friendship and loyal support.

    You have helped us to
Build Bridges of Friendship and Excellence through Music and the Arts,
Reaching Out from the Heart of London to the World.

    With our very best wishes,

    Concordia Foundation
